Presenting the remote wireless electric meter reading system this aims at resolving the shortcomings of the technology of the traditional electric meter reading combining the characteristics of the zigbee technology and ieee802 15 4 standard. In this propose system zigbee module will be attached to the meter by using interface board and the data collector will be connected to the central computer by using gsm. The zigbee devices are extremely limited in resources including processing memory and power short operating range.
